Visum! Pass! Bankkort!

Vilket resulterade i att det kostade skjortan, men so what.

Vårt andra alternativ låg centralt, men krävde MASSA fix.

car outing

me and my parents went house hunting last weekend. they're looking for a new summer house, but so far no luck. the roads were awful, specially since we went up and down on small gravel roads to reach the houses.

sibling beer, aka syskonöl

a few times every year me and my brothers meet up for an evening of talking and drinking beer. last tuesday was the only evening we all could make it before we moved, so we met up at peppar, one of our favorite bars/restaurants for some food, beer and pepper shots.

it was a bit too dark in there to actually take pictures of my brothers. although i might need to blame them more than the light; they wouldn't sit still!

they had beer, i splurged and had a strawberry daquiri

the food arrived and it was a bit too spicy for me. although pretty much every food is to spicy for me...

kalle compensated his pepper shot with eating sour cream with a spoon.

then we went on to a pub for some after-beer-beers. all in all a very nice night. I'm surely going to miss these evenings.

nov 13th - christmas

So, on to christmas. since we're in Ghana over christmas my family thought we needed to celebrate it a bit early this year. So almost all of us gathered at my aunt's place last saturday, for a full day of puzzles, wine and home cooked chinese food. just my kind of christmas.

we went all in for the REAL christmas feel.

food preparations

dads home made spring rolls are AMAZING.

puzzle! a completely impossible on - monet (he must have been almost completely blind about then...)

peter reading away on his beloved kindle.

dad posing in his apron. he started dancing after that, but unfortunately all the pictures are blurry...

svante.

and that was that. the rest of the evening we had loads of food + talked. quite early we got too tired and crawled to bed. when we finally woke up this awaited us:

breakfast, as it should be!

november 12th - kids + wii

I've been a bit behind on posting pictures the last week. It was a very, very, very crazy week for me. My last week at work (right now it's my first free day, and it's six full weeks until I start at the new office, in Ghana). This means massive amounts of work, a lot of hours at the office, combined with a fully booked social life and some extra work I took on (don't ask me why, I don't know)

Anyway. Now I'm in Örebro with pretty much nothing to do during the days, except my lunch dates. I'm therefore gonna post ALOT of pictures from last weekend and a few this past week, then we'll be up to speed.

first out: November 12th. My niece and nephew decided they wanted to stay with us a night before we left. And so they did.

tyra in all her pride and glory

iphone + kids = love

we brought out the big guns after a while

and tyra took her time colouring a page in our wedding guest book.

at first joar got sucked in with a pc game, some star wars crap.

but then it was time to move on to the seriously fun stuff - wii snowboarding!

he was fast

and quick!

then it was time for bed. I (27 years) was exhausted and went to sleep the same time (9pm) as tyra (6 years) did. it was AMAZING.

the morning after looked a little like this:

we brought out the computer again. we can't help it, our computers are always out and on.

tyra played an oddly girly game. I tried to make her drive around cars, but no no no. all she wanted to do was paint nails. at least it was less morbid compared to the knee surgery game she made me play the night before.

ella hung out on the couch next to us and we petted her a bit.

then the parents arrived. more cat petting.

tyra getting some tech support

then my other brother + wife came to pick us up. a few minutes later we were on our way to my aunts house to celebrate christmas. more on that later today, because now I have to get prepared for lunch!

Traveling around the world

In between an exhausting hour at the gym, working like crazy I've been trying to relax this evening by traveling the world.

ylwa's 30th

It's been a while since I posted. It's a bit crazy right now. Less than a month before we move, a zillion things to do at work and only five days left to do them and a whole apartment to pack. And in between all our todo's we got tons of people to see, hang out with etc. This weekend we celebrated an early Christmas with my family. No photos from there yet, you'll have to make due with pictures from our close friend Ylwa's awesome thirtieth b-day party last weekend.

the girl of the evening.

we had dubious amounts of punch. and no, it was cold, not boiled.

gift card reading. i do believe this is when she got a bikram yoga session. yikes!

party people.

Peter had an appetizer named after him. he was quite proud.

showing off her splendid gifts. fyi; the shower cap was from us. they're moving to a flat in a house with a pool next year so we guessed she might be needing some bathing attire. she also got a blow-up-bar and a giant rubber duck.

johan.

then it was quiz time!

the best (even if we didn't win..) team in action!

team discussions.

all in all, this picture pretty much shows you my state of mind that evening. it was awesome!

family fika

on saturday I had planned an art gallery outing with my mum. Before we went there she and my dad and my niece and nephew hung out at our place a bit for a fika.

tyra taking control over the sofa

then fika!

then my dad (and her grandpa) stopped playing. no fun no more!

we found a couple of photo albums from when my parents were kids.

tyra asked what a photo album was, and i realized that photo albums is something that's disappearing. but they're so nice, who really has the time to look from a zillion files on a hard drive? I have to start making ones.

then we went to the art hall in the marabou park, followed by seafood lunch at the adjoining restaurant. it's the same place as we had coffee at last week. seems to become quite a tradition. I like it!
